Facility Systems Consultants, LLC (FSC) is an engineering consulting firm located in Knoxville, Tennessee that dates back to November of 1982. The firm has provided design and consultation for many types of facilities such as schools, jails and correctional centers, churches, retail spaces, hotels, dormitories, restaurants, airports, libraries, laboratories, banks, commercial storage, medical facilities (hospitals, medical offices, etc.), office buildings, and industrial/production warehouses.

LEADERSHIP

Mr. Headla has over twenty one years of experience in electrical engineering and is an alumnus of The University of Tennessee. His work has included construction document design, budget preparation, scheduling, and construction administration. His design experience includes those for LEED certification and Energy Conservation Tax Credits and/or Grants, exterior and interior lighting, life safety systems, power distribution, emergency power systems, UPS systems, fire alarm systems, intercom systems, nurse call systems, infrastructure, and data wiring systems.

Larry T. Headla, PE, LEED AP

President, Principal Electrical Engineer

Mr. Kenny is a Tennessee Technological University graduate and a 28 year experienced engineer and project manager of facilities design and design/build projects. He is among the region’s most experienced engineers in heating, ventilation and air conditioning, plumbing systems, and fire protection systems. Known for his work on complex and innovative projects, he has also spent nearly two decades of service to the design and construction industry as well as support of government bodies in policy development, code implementation and standard of care issues.

John M. Kenny, PE

Founder, Principal Mechanical Engineer

Mr. Brown, a graduate of The University of Tennessee, has over twenty two years of experience in electrical engineering. He has few peers with the depth of experience in the electrical profession having also been employed as an electrical contractor and electrician dating to his youth. He provides valuable insight to construction related electrical issues. His experience covers most any facet of traditional electrical engineering consulting with a range that extends to projects beyond 50 megawatts.

Nathan A. Brown, PE

CFO, Principal Electrical Engineer

Mr. Hall is a graduate of Virginia Polytechnic Institute (Virginia Tech) and serves as mechanical department manager for the firm.  He has spent much of his career in higher education, laboratory and industrial projects but is well versed in various sectors. He also serves FSC's office as head of commissioning services, giving him a strong background in problem solving.  He is experienced in energy modeling and performance as well as the LEED certification process with many certified buildings under various programs and versions.
